The LivaNova Sorin Stockert 3T is a heater-cooler that is used during cardiopulmonary bypass. The System is used to help regulate the patient's blood during cardiac, vascular, and transplant procedures. The Stockert 3T system can work independently from the water supply in an operating room. It comes with three different water tanks that control the warming and cooling cardioplegias along with the patient temperature. Each one of these is on its own separate circuit and can be run simultaneously. The Sorin Stockert heating and cooling of the system runs off of one circuit while the patient temperature runs off of two circuits. The water in the LivaNova 3T does not come in contact with the patient's or the patient's blood during a procedure. At the end of a procedure, the water can be drained out of the heat exchange, and the tubing to help with clean up.
